About Metadata Services:
Metadata Services creates, enhances, remediates, and transforms descriptive and discovery metadata in multiple schemas to provide discovery and access to library resources in SearchWorks (our Blacklight implementation) and the Stanford Digital Repository, through the integrated work of four units: Metadata Creation, Metadata Design, E-resources Control and Data Control. The E-Resources Unit is charged with the pre-processing and ingest of vendor-supplied e-resource packages, batch metadata remediation and other large-scale batch processes within our library system. Staff members are also participating in our linked data projects and are instrumental in our move to our new library services platform, FOLIO.
About the Position:
The Data Import Specialist will be responsible for the loading and remediation of vendor-supplied bibliographic records for electronic resources into FOLIO. The Specialist will collaborate with other E-Resources staff in identifying issues in batch loading, and determining and creating workarounds, reporting needs, and gaps in functionality. This will require contributions to the development and testing of automation scripts for tasks, scheduling and other functions using MarcEdit, XSLT or other scripting languages, documentation review and updating, and participation in testing future versions of the FOLIO Data Import app.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
·Bachelor's degree plus three or more years of experience in an academic library, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $34.87 to $44.91 per hour.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
