Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required



Experience: Three (3) years' experience with faith and community-based organizations.



Summary: The Director of Church Relations at Breckenridge Village is responsible for overseeing and enriching the spiritual life of our residents and day program participants and strengthening connections with local churches. This role involves coordinating chapel services, managing a pastor supply program for churches in Smith County, and fostering partnerships with churches to provide enrichment and service opportunities. The Director of Church Relations plays a vital role in ensuring that Breckenridge Village remains a spiritually vibrant community while also serving as a liaison between the Village and the broader faith community.



Essential Functions:

1. Plan, organize, and lead weekly chapel services for program participants, ensuring that worship experiences are inclusive, meaningful, and aligned with the spiritual needs of the community.
2. Manage and coordinate a pastor supply program, ensuring that churches in Smith County have access to qualified pastoral leadership when needed. This includes scheduling, communication, and logistical support.
3. Actively engage with local churches to build and maintain strong relationships that support the mission of Breckenridge Village. Develop and promote opportunities for churches to participate in enrichment activities and service projects.
4. Create and coordinate programs and events that provide spiritual enrichment for program participants, leveraging partnerships with local churches and faith-based organizations.
5. Represent Breckenridge Village at church events, community gatherings, and faith-based forums to promote the Village's mission and to cultivate new church partnerships.
6. Work with church groups to develop volunteer opportunities that benefit both the program participants of Breckenridge Village and the participating churches.



Measurable Deliverables:

1. Achieve a consistent attendance rate of 90% or higher for weekly chapel services, reflecting engagement and satisfaction.
2. Ensure that 100% of pastor requests from Smith County churches are fulfilled promptly and efficiently, with
3. Establish at least five new church partnerships annually, resulting in increased volunteer involvement, enrichment programs, or community service projects.
4. Organize and execute at least 10 enrichment events per year in collaboration with local churches, with measurable improvements in program participants' satisfaction and spiritual well-being.
5. Increase Breckenridge Village's visibility and engagement within the local faith community by attending and presenting at a minimum of eight church or faith-based events per year.



Credentials, Skills and Abilities:

1. Strong foundation in Christian theology and an understanding of diverse denominational practices, with the ability to create inclusive worship experiences.
2. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with church leaders, program participants, volunteers, and community members.
3. Proven ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering inspiring messages and clear, effective correspondence.
5. Ability to represent Breckenridge Village within the local faith community, with a passion for service and a commitment to the Village's mission.
6. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide church volunteers, program participants, and program staff.
7. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and needs within the community, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
