WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Provide Behavioral Health Support with Impact
Assess and support service members across low, moderate, or high-risk behavioral health needs.
Help service members transition home or ensure they receive the counseling or treatment needed at Ft. Bliss.
Evaluate deployment eligibility based on Combatant Command (COCOM) standards and recommend next steps.
Shape Clinical Outcomes with Expert Decision-Making
Manage a high caseload efficiently, making critical decisions about care and follow-up treatment.
Collaborate closely with supervisors, command personnel, and other healthcare providers to deliver the best outcomes for SMs.
Be a trusted source for Commanders and First Sergeants, discussing key behavioral health issues while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Lead in Telehealth Innovation
Leverage telehealth technologies to provide care remotely, ensuring access to behavioral health services regardless of location.
Conduct virtual assessments, counseling, and follow-ups to support SMs health and readiness.
Be a Lifeline in Crisis Intervention:
Respond to emergencies with immediate interventions by coordinating hospital transport or engaging Military Police (MPs).
Refer SMs to Veterans Health Administration (VHA) or other relevant providers for continued care.
Set the Standard with Exceptional Documentation:
Document all encounters promptly, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
Ensure every case is closed within twenty-four (24) hours, meeting all reporting standards required by the Department of Defense (DoD) and medical treatment facility (MTF).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Licensure:
Master’s degree in social work (MSW) fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Current LCSW license in any U.S. state or territory.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
United States citizen.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience performing as a full-time LCSW during the last two years.
Experience with COCOM screening protocols, deployment health requirements, and crisis intervention techniques.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with command personnel, healthcare teams, and SMs.
Proficient in telehealth technologies and virtual care platforms.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Location:
Work will primarily be performed at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) and affiliated facilities within forty (40) mile radius with potential assignments based on operational needs
Schedule:
Hours may vary based on mission requirements, including surge support during mobilizations and demobilizations, Flexibility is required to meet mission demands.
Telehealth:
May be required to provide remote services during public health emergencies or other contingencies.
