Job Title: CAD Technician

Location: McAlester, OK

Position: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $25 - $40 per hour based on demonstratable abilities.

This position is at the Meeco Division located in McAlester, OK, and we have been building steel docks at this facility for over 60 years.  The person selected to fill this position will join a small and dynamic team of dock designers and become an integral part of the organization.  There are two very senior dock designers to train, coach and mentor the new designer.

Successful Applicant for Position should have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience using Autodesk AutoCAD 2020 or later versions.




• Ability to draw 2D plan views, elevations, isometric details (3D not required, but helpful).




• An ability to utilize Paper space in preparing detailed overall layouts with enlarged areas for detail.




• Proficient using Excel spread sheets and MS Word documents preferred.




• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.




• Ability to work with minimal supervision.




• Be willing to perform other duties and projects as assigned (unrelated to drafting).




• Be motivated to learn about our product from design to manufacturing to installation and to advance in their responsibilities and duties.

Initial Responsibilities:

• Prepare drawing packages for new projects during the proposal process.




• Work with sales and customers to develop marina layout conceptual drawings.




• Move into providing full Shop Order drawing packages for new projects under contract.

Working Conditions:

Remote Work is an option for this position provided the individual lives within a 2-hour drive of McAlester, OK and is willing to be trained at the facility for the initial period and to travel to the facility as needed.
