Job Description:

Our client is a leading supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases alongside welding equipment, supplies and safety products. They operate throughout the US with a significant network of branches, fill plants, specialty gas labs and production sites. Our client employees over 18k employees and operates over 1100 retail locations.

Must have strong hunter mentality and 3-4+ years' industrial/blue collar sales experience, motivated, and not afraid to be told "no".

New Business Development Account Managers have a normal book of business they are expected to manage and grow, and then pursue more competitive leads. The right individual will not maintain a book of business long-term, and will act solely as a hunter.

This territory includes Monroe, Fayetteville, and Salisbury areas. The client has numerous branches in that geography and can align "home base" to you! Realistically, you are on the road daily.

No sponsorship, transfers, or H1B considerations can be made for this role.

Experience & Requirements:
  • 4+ years of successful sales experience in industrial or commercial markets.
  • Knowledge of industrial, specialty, and medical gases (preferred).
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and backgrounds.

Keys to Success:
  • You must be aggressive, self-motivated, and have thick skin.
  • Focused on getting new business from competition which is strong in the Carolinas.
  • Role largely is focused on cylinder gas, specialty gas, welding, and other industrial manufacturing tools.
  • Organize schedules to prospect, qualify, and close new accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competition.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base: $60k - $78k, determined by experience
  • Variable Comp: 70%/30% plan based on monthly gross margin targets + 12% margin dollars above that
  • 3-Month Guaranteed comp plan to start!
  • Car Allowance: $690/month PLUS mileage reimbursement
  • Healthcare: Takes effect after 31 days of employment
  • Time Off: 2 weeks' vacation, 1 week sick, 3 floating holidays, 7 paid holidays
