Job Description Summary
The Division of Health Policy is seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Research Coordinator A/B to be responsible for the day-to-day fieldwork operations for a randomized control trial examining a behavioral economic intervention related to food policy. Fieldwork for this study is taking place primarily in Northeast Philadelphia and involves regularly traveling between our campus in University City and the field site. For this reason, a personal vehicle to transport self and study equipment for fieldwork is required.
The Clinical Research Coordinator A will work directly with the study principal investigator, project manager, research coordinators, and other research assistants. Essential functions of this position will include but are not limited to: recruitment and enrollment of study participants; data collection and management in accordance with study protocols; following all IRB and human subjects policies and regulations; managing study-related materials and documentation; communicating with participants; and other research duties as needed. Russian language skills are highly desirable as this study works with a large Russian-speaking population. This is a one-year position, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
In addition to the above, the Clinical Research Coordinator B will have demonstrated research experience and administrative skills. Additional duties will include communications with a spectrum of stakeholders. The Clinical Research Coordinator B is expected to provide additional involvement in developing recruitment and other process strategies, presenting data and reports to the research team.
Job Description
This Fieldwork Coordinator (Clinical Research Coordinator A/B) position will perform recruitment, data collection, and other support for research projects at the Psychology of Eating and Consumer Health (PEACH) Lab. This role will work primarily on a randomized control trial examining a behavioral economic intervention related to food policy, directly with study principal investigators, project manager, research coordinators, and other research staff. This coordinator must have a personal vehicle to transport self and study equipment for fieldwork. Up to 60% of duties will require fieldwork in Northeast Philadelphia in line with University policies (including minimal face-to-face contact with others and use of personal protective equipment). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of non-fieldwork duties will be completed remotely from home. Russian language skills are highly desirable as this study works with a large Russian-speaking population. This is a one-year position, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.

Clinical Research Coordinator A: BA/BS in nutrition or public health-related field and 1-2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
Clinical Research Coordinator B: BA/BS in nutrition or public health-related field and 2-4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
Both levels: Required: Strong organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. A successful candidate will demonstrate cultural competency and ability to contribute to the Lab's goals of anti-racism, equity, and inclusion. Personal vehicle is required to drive to fieldwork sites and mileage will be reimbursed. Background check required. Preferred: experience carrying out health policy or public health research; experience entering data and making reports in REDCap; Russian languages skills.
The position is contingent upon grant funding.
