Universal Industrial Gases, LLC. (UIG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor and a well-established, global engineer, constructor, supplier and operator of air separation plants and related equipment and services, based in Bethlehem, PA. UIG owns and operates production plants across the USA which supply both Nucor steel sites and third-party clients 24/7 with tonnage quantities of oxygen, nitrogen and argon as well as exporting liquid cryogenic products by road tanker.
UIG is seeking a Process Engineer responsible for leading the process engineering design for air separation plant projects and proposals:
Analyze solution costs and benefits and optimize system and equipment design.
Specify compressor, air chiller, adsorption systems, distillation columns, cold boxes, control valves, relief valves, manual valves, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, pipeline measurement equipment, analyzers, silencers, cooling towers, and other air separation equipment components.
Lead process and controls engineering for P&ID's, commissioning, technical risk analysis, safety and environmental, ASU troubleshooting and investigations. Review project drawings for compliance and performance testing
Inspect and approve vendor proposals and equipment during fabrication.
Stay current with new process technologies, tools, design practices, methods, concepts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
5 years' experience as a cryogenic process engineer in an industrial gas company
Demonstrated proficiency with Hysim or Aspen process simulation tools.
Willingness to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally on occasion.
