Position Overview:
The Assistant Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of credit relationships – This includes the receipt of pre-closing conditions, ensuring an efficient loan closing process and all of its related duties, from start to finish, process loan payoffs and related collateral releases, process line of credit draws and accurately complete the funding. The Employee is expected to liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Lenders and Administration Team. Additionally, the Employee may be responsible for other related duties that may include the marketing of the loan program and underwriting analysis. This position provides exceptional customer service by taking ownership of the customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Executes exemplary portfolio management via the following by: Maintaining appropriate risk rating on all credits at all times, Managing administrative past dues to 0% at all times, Managing delinquencies as close to 0% at all times, Keeping documentation exceptions to a minimum, and Maintaining covenant tracking without missing testing dates
Limit reporting tickler exceptions to a minimum
Acts as a liaison to Loan Operations
Managing and growing existing customer relationships with businesses that generally have $250,000 to $10MM in revenue.
Takes ownership of credit sheet content and quality by working closely with credit analysts/loan officers on their successful and timely completion.
Responsible for annual goals tied to loan and deposit volume, cross-sales, call planning and fee income generation.
Responsible for understanding the impact of lending on the bank goals.
Takes part in bank events during and after hours.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of financial industry or loan closing experience preferred
High level of organization and time-management with keen attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities and tasks
Expert in customer service with strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word
Knowledge and understanding of various loan documents, banking processing standards, best practices, and audit control procedures preferred
