We are seeking a full-time Global Transportation Analyst 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily transportation functions and routine standard processes, compiling analysis and reports, and assisting with projects contributing to the areas of transportation operations and carrier management, analysis and procurement, metrics and reporting, and process and systems development necessary to support the overall global transportation strategy.
Essential Functions
Collect, organize, validate, ensure integrity, and transform data for use in analysis, procurement, metrics, systems, and operations
Maintain essential knowledge of domestic/international carrier rates, transits, and service offerings in order to perform accurate cost/service comparisons for internal customers
Monitor daily carrier reports to proactively track shipment progression and address potential issues
Perform methodical audit of transportation invoices across all modes and providers to ensure adherence to contract rates and requirements
Respond, resolve, and coordinate requests to support basic shipment facilitation (package intercepts, undeliverables coordination, 3rd party collections arrangement, label and BOL generation, coordination with shipping, etc.) through contact with both internal customers and external partners
Process and file transportation claims in a timely and effective manner
Prepare, maintain, and distribute metrics/reports to global stakeholders to facilitate monitoring and management of volume, cost, performance, and organizational shipping behavior
Document processes, identify and escalate process or systems gaps, and suggest and implement improvements to processes and systems
Update systems with cost, transit and service standards and communicate to applicable parties
Leverage technology and maintain automated systems for effective management and control of department activity to minimize manual recordkeeping
Collaborate with team members, internal customers, and external partners to achieve successful completion of duties
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field with a passion for transportation
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines
Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment to effectively meet deadlines
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
