Paragon is seeking an energetic and dynamic Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Engineer to join our team! The IV&V Engineer will perform project specific activities such as analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables in conformance with verification and validation plans, procedures, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing project specific activities such as analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables conforming to project specific plans, procedures, and standards.
Complete assigned IV&V activities adhering to the overall project schedule
Works with the design team, peer IV&V team, and Quality Assurance to ensure that the digital systems are developed, tested, deployed, maintained, and operated according to Paragon’s Quality program
Develop test plans and perform testing activities within a Matlab/Simulink environment as well as in the lab with the physical hardware
Develop and execute test cases and procedures to test implementation of system requirements
Write, review, and update procedures, system records, and IV&V reports while following the Change Control Process and various quality procedures
The position may be expected to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
A minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other BS engineering/science degree is required
A minimum of 5 years of full-time specific work experience is required
Must be able to utilize basic electronics lab equipment to execute hardware testing
Experience working within a quality assurance program such as NQA-1 2015 is desired
Hardware and/or software I&C systems engineering experience in safety related I&C system or software design is required
Experience in the design, development, and/or V&V of field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology desired
Prior experience performing independent verification & validation in the nuclear industry is strongly desired
Experience with system development processes in accordance with IEEE standards and NRC regulations desired
Must demonstrate understanding of working on safety critical software systems in a highly regulated industry
Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink is strongly desired
Remote work is available, but travel will be required as requested
