Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate-Driver plays a crucial role in maximizing warehouse efficiency by delivering products directly to job locations, ensuring our installation team stays on-site and on schedule. This role supports the installation team by handling the pick-up and delivery of installation materials and supplies as needed, as well as accommodating emergency requirements. Additional responsibilities include tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control, working alongside other team members to maintain smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office;
Experience with shipping and inventory control software preferred.
Familiarity with ERP software is a plus.
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
Forklift experience preferred.
Experience driving vans and box trucks.
Familiarity with various material-handling equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with temperature fluctuations in winter and summer.
Adherence to company driving policies and standards.
Physically capable of performing tasks that involve walking, standing, lifting 50+ pounds, carrying, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and kneeling.
Responsibilities:
Pull and load products safely into vans or box trucks for delivery to client locations.
Coordinate with field personnel for the timely delivery and pick-up of installation materials as needed.
Assist with cleanup and organization within the warehouse.
Maintain an organized installation shop, including materials storage.
Dress appropriately for varying worksite conditions, including office and construction site environments.
Flexible with hours, including early mornings or evenings, to meet job site schedules and client needs.
Provide backup support for shipping and receiving processes.
Promote customer satisfaction and professionalism when on client sites, representing the Avidex team.
Follow OSHA safety standards and management guidelines, including wearing proper safety equipment at job sites.
Attend training sessions as directed by management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
