Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client who is seeking a motivated, reliable, and adaptable Part-Time Tier 1 Service Desk/Field Technician to join their growing IT team in Coppell, TX.

Summary:
In this role, you will provide front-line support to end-users, handle minor technical tickets, and assist various internal teams with their IT needs. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in IT while working in a dynamic environment.

Tier 1 Service Desk Support:


  • Respond to and resolve inbound IT support tickets (both technical and user issues)

  • Provide remote troubleshooting and issue resolution for hardware, software, and networking problems

  • Assist with account management tasks, such as password resets, user setup, and basic system troubleshooting

Field Technician Support:

  • Provide on-site support for networking tasks, including helping the networking team with switch installations, hardware replacements, and other infrastructure-related work

  • Assist the infrastructure team with physical server installation, movement, and maintenance at our data center in Coppell

  • Support the FITS team by meeting with outsourced vendors, providing guidance, and ensuring tasks are completed according to specifications

Collaboration and Backup:

  • Work closely with other internal teams (networking, infrastructure, FITS) to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution

  • Serve as a backup technician to the primary team, stepping in to assist with minor technical tasks and follow-up as needed







REQUIREMENTS:



  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed

  • Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
