Caterpillar's Resource Industries Electrification Solutions (RIES) team is developing key technologies to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world! Our products will help shape the future of electrified mine sites around the world, and as Senior Product Service Engineer, you can be a key part of that journey with us. As a Senior Product Service Engineer, you will have a pivotal role to work with Caterpillar team members in the field as well as our customers and dealers to understand customer applications and needs, and work with Engineering and other internal partners to deliver solutions that make our customers successful.
What you will do:
Serve as a Senior Product Service Engineer for Energy Transfer New Production Introduction (NPI) programs in the mining industry
Understand customer needs and preferences as they relate to performance, reliability, durability and serviceability of our solutions
Identify service and support strategies to best support the product over its life cycle
Work closely with Caterpillar, dealer and customer mine site teams to support deployment, successful operation and uptime of electrified mining systems
Advise on root cause and correction action (RCCA), validation and measuring resolution effectiveness
Advise on refinement of engineering requirements
Participate in system, component and sub-system design reviews and safety & serviceability audits
Provide guidance to development of NPI deliverables, including product support publications, service tooling and training

Problem Solving : • Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort. • Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. • Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate. • Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes. • Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies. • Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.
Education and Experience requirement:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical in nature) or equivalent work experience
Superior communication and facilitation skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience with electrification, power systems or heavy equipment
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience working with customers
Understanding of mining equipment and mine site operations
Experience with high power electrical componentry

The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ
