The Accounting/Business faculty position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position in the Business Department. Sheridan College faculty teach 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation.
Candidates are expected to have the ability to teach a variety of accounting courses at the introductory and intermediate level, as well as other business and management courses as assigned.
Courses are delivered in a variety of modalities including face to face, asynchronously, hybrid and synchronously. Faculty may need to teach at a variety of times (days and evenings).

Qualifications:
Preferred requirements: • Doctorate in accounting or business administration with either a CPA credential or 18 graduate hours in the discipline. • Two or more years full-time teaching experience in discipline at the secondary level or higher.
Minimum requirements: • A master's degree in accounting or related business graduate degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in accounting. • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience or combination of work in accounting, business management, finance or a closely related field, or teaching in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Adapting to a variety of teaching situations with students from diverse backgrounds/abilities. • Working and interacting effectively with colleagues, staff, students, administrators, and others of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. • Experience with or willingness to gain experience with teaching and developing coursework. • Developing/modifying curriculum both collaboratively and independently. • Effective oral/written communication with individuals at all levels inside and outside the College. • Microsoft Office programs, Canvas learning management system, and other appropriate instructional technology.
