Represent NYU to a wide and diverse audience around the world as a member of the Undergraduate Admissions Counseling Team. Advise prospective students, parents, and high school/transfer counselors regarding admissions policies, procedures, academic programs, and financial aid opportunities. Evaluate applications and recommend admissions decisions for all of NYU’s undergraduate colleges; review and evaluate credentials. Oversee and delegate tasks related to one or more special projects (examples include recruitment, evaluation and selection, transfer admissions, etc.). Specifically, reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions on the Admissions Services and Strategy Team, this role plays a pivotal role on the Counseling Team supporting how their colleagues, students, and families interact with our systems and processes. To support that, use data and reporting to work with the team to constantly evaluate and improve the customer service experience. Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant professional level experience in an admissions office or equivalent combination. Must include experience with advising/counseling, project leadership, and/or staff training/development
Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience in a project team leadership role. Experience with Slate or other CRM administration preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Ability to market the University independently and provide leadership within a team frame. Extensive travel and weekend hours required. Valid Driver's License required. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Strong data fluency required.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
