About the Role
As the Senior IT Business Analyst within the Information Systems (IS) group, you will support the sales and marketing teams by establishing and managing a process-driven environment. In this role, you will lead the pre-execution phases of projects, collaborating with architects, technical resources, and project managers to ensure projects are clearly defined, achievable, and fit within our systems architecture.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a project roadmap for IS initiatives that support the sales and marketing functions. Lead the phase-gate process from project inception through execution handoff, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.
Collaborative Scope Refinement & Third-Party Interaction: Jointly work with project managers and third-party developers during project scoping and refinement, assisting in defining clear, achievable requirements that align with GRG's systems architecture. Support project managers in preparing Statements of Work (SoWs), ensuring technical alignment before finalization.
Project Dashboard Ownership & Priority Management: Own and maintain the project dashboard as the primary representative into your business area(s) of responsibility. Ensure that stakeholders have real-time visibility into project status, gate ETAs, and release dates. Work closely with project managers, who will provide status updates and data for projects in the execution phase.
Budget Management & ZBB: Drive Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) efforts for IS projects, including the annual budgeting and planning process for your project pipeline. Ongoing budget management and priority/ZBB management, including managing execution order and priorities to fit within the approved annual budget, seeking additional budget if needed, and adjusting the roadmap as new requests come in or as budgets shift. Ensure your functional area fits within the overall IS annual budget and adjusts according to in-year budget revisions.
Technical Expertise & Systems Integration: Collaborate with architects and technical resources to ensure that projects defined during the pre-execution phase are clear, achievable, and fit within the overall systems architecture.
Process & Workflow Optimization: Establish and refine business analysis processes, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive continual improvement. Implement enhancements in marketing automation, sales process flow optimization, and AI-driven initiatives to support business objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with sales and marketing stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements for IS projects. Ensure ongoing communication and alignment with business stakeholders, providing updates through dashboards and meetings.
