Software Development Manager (Cloud)

Location: Houston, TX. Hybrid, 3 days per week in office.

Salary Range: Up to $200,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on hands on Software Development Manager specializing in Cloud Technologies. You will lead and develop cloud operations, improve security, and oversee the deployment and monitoring of innovative cloud solutions. As a key leader, you will guide development teams, ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and security across all cloud initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud solutions.
  • Ensure security, operational stability, and continuous improvements in deployment processes.
  • Provide leadership in task planning, code development, and operational support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team.
  • Oversee code quality and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
  • Act as Scrum Master when necessary and support Scrum team formation and development.
  • Manage staffing levels and skills development for cloud developers.
  • Working on internal tools.
  • Act as an SME/ Advisory Service for product teams looking to implement new features, ensuring feasibility in the cloud.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in software and operations development, with expertise in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Strong technical knowledge in C#, .NET, cloud architecture, and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and containerization.
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and coach technical teams across different locations.
  • Background in computer engineering or computer science.
