A key Optimus retail power/natural gas client located in the Montrose area and in-office daily is looking for a Marketing Natural Gas Scheduler to manage their natural gas transportation and storage portfolios. This is somewhat of a hybrid role, where you buy/sell for the day, manage the storage and own the book/balance everything. This position may require working before/after regular office hours including some holidays and weekends as needed.
Note: This is role is not a turnaround scheduler nor a project scheduler. Experience nominating natural gas onto a pipeline in a wholesale or retail natural gas entity is required.

Responsibilities:
Buy, Sell, Trade, Schedule near term physical commodities to ensure accurate receipt and delivery of natural gas from our upstream suppliers to our customer's local utilities
Find and develop supply portfolios utilizing FT, IT, Hub Wheeling, Park/Loan, and imbalance management.
Proactively monitor and communicate pipeline operational information postings to colleagues in a timely manner, especially those postings which may impact operations.
Monitor daily customer usage and adjust nominations to maintain cost effective imbalances, monitor and resolve pipeline/ISO/RTO volume discrepancies,
Develop & network positive business relationships with pipelines, LDC's, and supplier representatives, traders, and peer schedulers. Attend industry gatherings as desired
Manage multiple natural gas storage contracts and optimize injections/withdrawals
Reconcile transposition invoices and perform other operational functions as requested
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
Demonstrated proficiency with supply acquisition, movement, and asset development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
Must have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, or optimization models a plus.
Routine attendance at the headquarters location with occasional remote capability.
Independently research and gain a complete understanding of the operational and commercial aspects of LDC tariffs.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines.
