We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Digital Optimization & A/B Testing to join our 1800Flowers.com Inc. enterprise team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in developing, implementing, executing, and reporting A/B testing strategies across digital product areas to optimize performance. This role requires a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making, user experience enhancement, and the ability to measure and analyze the impact of site changes. The Lead, Digital Optimization & A/B Testing will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maximize our online presence.
A/B Testing Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive A/B testing strategies to optimize site performance and user experience.
Identify key areas for testing, create hypotheses, and design experiments to validate improvements.
Collaborate with design, development, and marketing teams to ensure successful test execution.
Test Execution and Analysis:
Execution:
Plan and manage the end-to-end execution of A/B tests, including test design, test setup, and test launch.
Work with product teams and cross-functional partners to develop hypotheses, tests, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
Define test parameters, target audience, and success metrics based on business objectives.
Ensure accurate test implementation by working closely with the development team to deploy tests on the site.
Monitor live tests to ensure they are running smoothly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the test period.
Data Collection:
Collect and analyze data from multiple sources, including web analytics tools, A/B testing platforms, and user feedback.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by validating test results and eliminating any potential biases or anomalies.
Analysis:
Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of test results to determine the significance and impact of tested changes.
Use advanced analytical techniques to segment data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights.
Compare test variations against control groups to measure the effectiveness of changes in achieving desired outcomes.
Generate detailed test reports that include key findings, performance metrics, and recommendations for future actions.
Reporting and Communication:
Present test results and insights to stakeholders, highlighting the implications for business strategy and decision-making.
Develop clear and concise reports and dashboards to communicate test outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Recommend actionable next steps based on test findings, such as implementing successful variations or iterating on unsuccessful tests.
Optimization Initiatives
Lead site optimization initiatives to enhance conversion rates, user engagement, and overall site performance.
Continuously monitor site metrics and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices for user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Computer Science).
5+ years of experience in site optimization, A/B testing, and data analysis.
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing A/B testing strategies.
Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
Proficiency in A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in e-commerce or a similar industry.
Advanced degree in a related field.
Knowledge of UX design principles and best practices.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for basic troubleshooting and understanding test implementations.
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
