The Engineering Technician is a support role to the product development process. Candidates are required to have an array of technical skills in the fields of product development and manufacturing. They will work to help develop a high-quality product efficiently using established tools and processes.
You will work on a wide range of items; the ability to create drawings, fabricate jigs and fixtures as well as generate other technical information needed for efficient development of each and every product using established processes.
Responsibilities
Take part in daily team meetings within the engineering department or on project teams.
Work with engineers, sales and production personnel and management to ensure all product and systems are meet customer and company requirements.
Accountable for producing/updating drawings, instructions, and specifications to produce each product. (documenting/photographing)
Maintain maintenance personal and shared workspaces to company standards.
Ensure data accuracy in ERP system (Epicor).
Working overtime or longer hours maybe required to meet deadlines.
Education & Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Fabrication or machining skills
Drafting knowledge and experience. GD&T training a plus.
Related on-job experience ~ 3 years.
Vocational school training a plus
CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
