Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee excavation, grading, and underground utilities projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage excavation, grading, and underground utilities activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to plan and execute project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site inspections and oversee the work of crews to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, making decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and safety records.
  • Train and mentor field staff to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in civil construction, specifically in excavation, grading, and underground utilities.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.

Additional Information:
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as necessary.
