As a Senior Superintendent, this individual's primary responsibility is to manage, in collaboration with the Project Manager, the successful completion of assigned projects. This person is a leader in the field and is responsible for overseeing job site safety, quality control, and project schedule and is the liaison with architect and consultants on all field and constructability issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
Ensure high standards of quality and safety are adhered to by assertively championing safety culture to project team and subcontractors.
Work collaboratively with project management and field teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the management of the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
Responsible for the setting up the job for success, field coordination, and overseeing the project schedule.
Project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
Maintain and update project records including RFI's, ASI's and as-builts.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors.
Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent role, in the construction industry - preferable has experience working for a California-based general contractor.
Experience with and a solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, experience with managing 5+ direct reports, solution oriented approach towards teamwork, and problem solver.
Must be able to read plans and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project, cradle to grave.
Occasional travel is required. This position reports to the Project Executive or Senior Project Manager.
