The HSE Manager ensures that the organization complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. This role involves conducting risk assessments, inspections, and training to create and maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The HSE Officer is responsible for minimizing risks and ensuring the health and safety of employees, visitors, and contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure all people placed under their assigned area of responsibility, or all persons who may be affected by equipment or processes placed under their responsibility are complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, and LISI Aerospace policies, procedures and plans. • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting protocol and environmental operating procedures at all times. • Responsible for EMS policies and procedures overview, operational controls and objectives. • Ensures the responsibility of ISO 14001 standards, aspects, and impact as related to the HSE policy commitments. • Responsible for the completion of all mandatory federal, state and city required reports and forms concerning environmental issues. • Coordinates and disposes of the 90-day hazardous waste accumulation. • Ensures training and communication initiatives are provided to all employees required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately. • Conduct Environmental Monitoring, evaluate work environments, and make recommendations for controlling workplace and environment (internal and external) exposures. • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with HSE standards and government regulations. • Evaluates and engages in projects that would reduce hazardous waste and assists in the implementation of Environmental improvements • Assist and report to the site management and the HSE management of his/her division in the fields of Occupational Health and Safety and the Environment • Ensures, in collaboration with the other service/department managers, that the equipment at his/her site is in good condition and operates safely. If this is not the case, he/she will ensure that protective measures are taken and/or that the equipment is consigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
Has indirect supervisory responsibility for supervisors and managers in his assigned facilities. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience • Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Industrial hygiene or related discipline • Minimum 5 + years of environmental services, management experience in the Aerospace Industry or Manufacturing environment preferred. • Minimum 5 + years in environmental services or completion of a Hazardous Management program from any of the California State Universities; equivalent combination of education and experience. • Familiarity with California and Federal environmental laws preferred. • Customer interface/interaction experience related to understanding customer specifications, quality, and satisfaction required. • Knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and environmental protection. • Experience with HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is preferred.

The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, managers, clients, customers, governmental agencies, and the general public.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amount such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
