SUMMARY:

Looking for a Director of IT to be responsible for overseeing the organization's internal IT operations, ensuring they align with corporate objectives. The Director of IT manages the company's technology infrastructure (networks, data centers, etc.) and the IT services that support business operations and service delivery. This includes responsibility for ensuring the integrity, availability, security of data and IT systems, cybersecurity, compliance with regulations, and data privacy standards.

IT Governance, Operations and Security. Reporting directly to the CTO, the Director of IT plays a crucial role in this structure, managing and optimizing internal IT infrastructure and operations. By incorporating the Director of IT under the CTO, our Client will benefit from unified leadership in technology, streamlining decision-making processes and fostering a more agile IT infrastructure capable of adapting to the rapid changes in our tech landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides expert guidance, direction and leadership in regard to a company's selection and use of technologies. Leads an organization's IT function. Determines long-term needs and pursues purchases and contracts that will aid in accomplishing business objectives. Responsible for budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting. Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Reports to the Chief Technology Officer. Manages others. Significant ingenuity and flexibility are expected. May require an advanced degree in a related area with at least 10 years of IT experience.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):
  • 10+ years' experience and/or bachelor's degree in IT or related fields
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated strategic mindset with an emphasis in IT

PRODUCT SKILLS:
  • A multi-disciplined manager
  • Highly proficient in Office Suite
  • Highly proficient in communicating, educating and explaining technical concepts
  • Microsoft Project a plus
  • ITIL Certification/training a plus

  • Staffing and Utilization: Maintain a staffing plan for your department and oversee the utilization management for all individuals and teams reporting into you.
