The Ivers Research Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Center for Global Health is seeking a Program Manager with a data analysis focus to support global public health research and scholarly activities.
The Ivers lab focuses on research addressing barriers to health equities, including epidemiology, public health, and observational and intervention research in Haiti and sub-Saharan Africa. We have a focus on diarrheal diseases, infectious diseases, and social determinants of ill-health such as food and water insecurity. Projects range from population-level studies to field epidemiology.

This is a 2-year funded position with potential for renewal.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a research program (federal- / foundation-funded) by preparation and collection of annual applications, facilitating meetings, creation of timelines, preparation of necessary reports associated with the program
Coordinates with other members of the team on assembly and preparation of all grant components
Coordinates all research activities including data collection, cleaning, and quality control
Assist with the creation of and/or training on project-specific data collection systems
Conducts preliminary data analysis and report summary of results with guidance from the PI
Performs systematic literature reviews and synthesize relevant data
Aids in abstract and manuscript preparation, as well as presentation of study results
Edits and formats original scientific content for manuscripts, grant applications, and progress reports, posters, and presentations
Manages scientific communications with co-authors, collaborators, journal editors, and graphic designers to ensure quality and scientific accuracy of written documents
Coordinates submission of scientific manuscripts and grant applications
Prepares Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and related documents (e.g., study protocol, consent forms) and monitor for renewals
Provides writing and editing support to trainees
Provides general administrative support to all project members including logistics (e.g. scheduling meetings and ordering materials)
Liaises with local and international partner organizations to provide program support
May supervise research assistant
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree in relevant field required (MPH, M.S., MSc.)
Excellent writing skills (may be asked for writing samples)
Familiarity with data analysis software packages such as Stata, SAS, R, Redcap, NVIVO is a plus
Dedicated to excellence and scientific accuracy
Detail-oriented and highly motivated to produce top-quality work
A proven ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Working knowledge of data management programs
Proficiency with standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard internet application
Familiarity with other software packages, or ability to learn new ones, such as Stata, SAS, R, Redcap, NVIVO, or Microsoft Access is a plus
Demonstrated interest in health equity and social justice preferred.
Previous experience with epidemiological data analysis
