We are seeking a highly analytical IT Delivery Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals on the delivery of complex financial products and collaborate with stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leadership with background in IT systems implementation, servant leadership qualities, and a desire to continuously learn.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to development of annual project portfolio plan for the Finance Information Technology (IT) line of business by:
collaborating with Director, business unit customers, various IT functional areas to identify requirements and assess impact to data and systems.
considering available technologies, comparing costs and benefits, and recommending solutions
managing application life cycle plans
Implement portfolio plan for assigned area including:
managing the definition, design, development, testing, and implementation of new systems, business enhancements and maintenance releases for Finance systems
utilizing multiple software development technologies and database applications running in multiple computing environments
Develop project resourcing strategies, allocating budget, staff, tools, and specialized support necessary for the maintenance and enhancement of solutions within assigned area.
Provide governance activities on assigned projects to ensure budget, timelines, features, and quality are being managed appropriately.
Act as general contractor on projects to develop appropriate support from various technology and service departments.
Ensure that application solutions comply with architectural standards, security controls and established methodologies and practices.
Anticipate and identify issues inhibiting the attainment of project goals; develop and implement corrective actions and re-planning the portfolio as required.
Monitor and report to IT and business area management on the status of multiple concurrent project efforts.
Foster and maintain good working relationships with business area representatives to remain in sync on direction and future development requests.
Complete human resource related activities for all associates assigned to Finance systems, including performance evaluations, career counseling, training plans, pay reviews, promotions, hiring, counseling, and terminations.
Ensure effective utilization of all associates assigned to your team and facilitating the creation of a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent work experience
Minimum eight years Management IT experience, including development, quality assurance, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated solutions and enterprise applications.
Minimum five years direct line of business experience developing and/or supporting systems in a large, multi-location operation.
Minimum of five years leadership experience in which one or more of the following occurred:
Demonstrated strong abilities in IT project management; organized, planned, and executed large-scale projects from vision through implementation involving internal personnel, contractors; analyzed project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives. Successfully developed and implemented applications in new computing architecture environments, using new and emerging technologies
Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high performance work teams and competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.
Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems with strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management and thrive in a cross-functional environment.
Experience with human resource management, basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting, with strong conflict management skills.
Ten years of IT related experience including development, maintenance, or support of large-scale integrated solutions
Experience with developing and supporting high volume applications.
Strong negotiations skills and the ability to effectively resolve conflicting priorities from multiple customers.
