Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to coordinate a range of construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate and maintain construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Assistant Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate contracts, subcontracts, sub compliance, team communications, construction activities and construction related paperwork. Experience in permitting, bid invitations, submittal procurement and distribution, construction billing and project accounting, and project management best practices. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

Team mentality, a positive attitude, strong multi-tasking abilities and construction knowledge are all requirements for this position.

The successful candidate will work directly with project management team to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are successful.

You will be a point of contact for team, partners, clients, subcontractors, and field management and must be able to do so with professionalism and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

-Review plans and decipher trades and scopes of work needed to complete invitations to bid

-Collaborate with others on Project Management team
• Write subcontracts and follow up with subcontractors to complete compliance process
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities as needed on a per-project basis
• Coordinate field team travel, on site needs, expense reports & per diem

Understanding and entering project budgets in accounting / project management software

Knowledge of construction billing procedures, ability to manage monthly project billing

Assist in coordinating internal resources & third parties for the flawless execution of projects
• Assist in ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Assist in ensuring resource availability and allocation
• Assist in monitoring and tracking progress of construction schedukle
• Assist in change order issuance

-Attend and take notes in Project Meetings, on site or virtually
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements:
• Proven working experience in construction project assistance

-Understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and projections

-Understanding of construction project life cycle
• Excellent and professional communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Process and best practices adherence
