We are looking to add an experienced and motivated Staff Accountant to our growing Carrollton, TX Team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and account and bank reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. They will also assist with monthly closings and account analysis.

Responsibilities:
Perform account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and review the general ledger to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with internal departments and project managers to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information to support monthly and annual close processes.
Maintain the accounting for fixed assets including company vehicles.
Timely processing of month-end close functionalities
Support the compilation of financial reports and KPIs
Knowledge of business Insurance, CCIP, and OCIP processes
Maintain financial historical records, and proper supporting documents and establish internal accounting controls.
Support internal and external audits for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in various tax preparation and filings- 1099s, Sales tax, Property tax, etc
Streamline existing processes, ensure processes are well documented and current, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or in a related specialization.
At least 5 years experience in general ledger accounting or similar.
Strong knowledge of cost analysis, accounting policies, procedures, and reporting.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to learn new processes and absorb information quickly in a growing business environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of construction is a plus.
Experience in CMiC, a plus
