Job Description:

Position Overview: The Operations and Program Director will serve as the key leadership figure for US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce - Southeast Region, accountable to the USPAACC-SE board of directors and responsible for strategic planning, organizational and financial management, fundraising and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting economic development within the Asian American business sector and a proven track record of effective leadership and fundraising in a non-profit setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Under the guidance of the USPAACC-SE Board of Directors, develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership to drive the growth and impact of the USPAACC-SE in the southeast.
  • Support the USPAACC national organization in its efforts to drive opportunities to increase the certification of Asian American businesses in the southeast.
  1. Operational Management:
  • Oversee the organization's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of all resources.
  • Manage the organization's communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders (board members, vendors, prospective members/partners, etc..)
  1. Membership Engagement:
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with current and prospective corporate, government, and Asian American Business members.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the value of USPAACC-SE membership.

  1. Advocacy and Outreach:
  • Advocate for the interests of Asian American businesses at local and regional levels.
  • Represent the USPAACC-SE at local community events and national USPAACC and diverse business conferences.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Identify and actively pursue funding opportunities, grants, and sponsorships.
  1. Events and Programs:
  • Plan and execute signature events, programs, and educational initiatives with the help of the support team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful networking opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Experienced with successfully leading a non-profit organization and/or program.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of basic accounting practices.
  • Executive and professional presence and ability to foster collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the Asian American community and diverse business landscape in the Southeast.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), leadership, inclusion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong project management and execution skills.
