To expand our global impact, we're seeking an experienced Senior Director of Operations to join our team. This is a leadership role for someone who excels at organizing, communicating, and inspiring teams to deliver innovative solutions. The Senior Director of Operations will partner with our Executive Director to develop and execute long-term strategies that elevate our operational efficiency and ensure we continue to reach new heights of success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations for the HR, Finance, and IT teams
  • Develop and implement strategic plans (including SMART goals) for operational functions in alignment with the organization's goals, mission, and values.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Lead AMS (Association Management System) implementation and ongoing ensure AMS meets company's strategic goals
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs globally, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment

Key skills and qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR, Finance, and IT. Experience in the non-profit or energy sector is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple departments effectively. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans while aligning operational functions with organizational goals.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior leadership, and external stakeholders (including global stakeholders).
  • Non-Profit Mindset: Passion for the mission of the organization and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of the non-profit sector, ideally in the energy or related sector.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
