Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding cloud-based application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
Work closely with the information security team to ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure and applications
Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline deployment pipelines
Identity, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment/performance issues
Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture and processes
Participates in and research new technologies to drive business value, transform our business and enhance the quality and value of IT services delivered to the firm.
Design and develop infrastructure as code using Python, Kubernetes, and helm charts.
Maintain and enhance CI/CD process using GitHub, GitHub Actions and other stand tools to ensure smooth code development, integration and delivery.
Ensure security best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle, including compliance with data protection regulations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field.
3+ years of relevant software engineering experience developing and deploying production applications
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and leading technologies
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Programming languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript or similar languages
Proficient in designing, developing, and implementing scalable cloud architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and similar tools.
Experience managing and optimizing API gateways and API management solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and similar products.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with code version control platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or similar tools is a plus

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and personal attributes:
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
Experience mentoring and coaching the team on new technologies, best practices and frameworks
Participates in the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to cloud-based infrastructure and software (SaaS) acquisitions.
Leading and delivering cloud transformation projects
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
