The Senior Facilities Engineer will report to the Facilities Manager (FM) and will support the facilities function in managing facilities services and support for its Atlanta-based corporate locations to become a world-class example of a corporate facilities group. Under the guidance and coaching of the FM, the Senior Facilities Engineer will interface with a wide variety of employees, contractors and vendors inside of and outside of the company. The Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient, and effective provision of facilities services and highly functional work environments for employees and guests. The Engineer will be expected to utilize and apply key technical and functional knowledge and skills to address various facilities needs and issues involving both daily, weekly and other responsibilities. Current designated corporate locations pertinent to this role include NORTH PARK | GLENLAKE | HAMPTON GREEN | COLONY CENTER | PEACHTREE DEKALB AIRPORT.
Responsibilities
Daily facilities responsibilities:
Conduct observational walk-throughs to identify risks and areas for action/improvement to meet company standards for common areas, breakrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, copy rooms, and others:
Restrooms - Ensure supply of hand soap, paper, functional dispensers, general cleanliness, etc.
Conference Rooms - Ensure adequate supply of paper products, wipes, markers, whiteboard cleaners, orderliness, and general functionality and cleanliness.
Fix & Repair - Remove broken/damage or mismatched chairs from conference rooms and telephone rooms.
Continuously review Service Now application for work order requests, evaluate, prioritize and take appropriate actions:
Install snap frames in conference rooms and offices.
Clean and vacuum carpets, as needed.
Remove and discard damaged items from workspaces.
Prepare conference rooms for meetings, conference calls and events (tables, chairs, chart stands, catering).
Receive deliveries at loading dock and move to designated locations.
Connect PCs to mounted monitors.
Travel between properties:
Deliveries (mail, packages, etc.)
Perform requested tasks (Service Now tickets)
Walk-throughs
Move equipment
Coordinate with building maintenance on issues:
Office and sector temperatures
Restrooms
Lightning
HVAC systems
Weekly facilities maintenance:
Remove recyclable cardboard on each floor.
Make sure storage areas are clean:
Discard trash - boxes, empty bottles, expired products etc.
Organize tools, supplies, and boxes etc.
Replenish covid stations:
Disinfectant spray and wipes, hand sanitizers, mask and paper towels.
Discard food from refrigerators.
Clean refrigerators and check ice machines.
Sweep stairs between 7th and 9th floors.
Clean HVAC intake.
Maintain company vehicles (clean inside/outside, keep up with services: fueling, oil changes, tire services and more).
Assist employees with tasks:
Assemble furniture.
Install mouse and keyboard trays.
Repair and replace parts on desk and chairs.
Move boxes, furniture, and supplies.
Key replacement for storage cabinets.
Hang picture frames and whiteboards.
Assist employees moving from one space to another:
Provide moving materials - boxes, labels, bins etc.
Uninstall and reinstall equipment in workspace:
Monitors
Phones
Docking stations
Monitor arms and poles
Cables
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Drywall and Paint.
Trade knowledge and familiarity with terms, principles, and practices of commercial trades.
Proven abilities to work successfully both independently and collaboratively across a variety of levels and functions.
Agility to develop and maintain a high level of organization and prioritization while also handling a large capacity and volume under shifting priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven ingenuity, resourcefulness, ability to research, gather and verify information.
