The starting pay for this role starts at $17-$19 per hour.

Role:

Dedicated to enhancing lives in a universal service retail environment with cross-functional responsibilities in both a teller and foundational member service capacity. Consistently uncovers members’ needs, offers appropriate solutions and provides accurate resolution to members’ inquiries and concerns.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

E 25% Processes wide variety of financial transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers and check cashing. E 25% Uncovers existing and potential members’ needs and recommend solutions to improve their financial well-being using a sales through service consultative approach. Conducts basic member service and loan functions such as consumer accounts, disputes, account maintenance and unsecured loans or transitions members to the appropriate next level teammate who can assist with more advanced products or services, such as collateralized loans or business accounts. E 20% Proactively educates members on emerging and existing self-serve technology and digital solutions such as mobile/online banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture and ITM services. E 15% Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Performs branch specific functions as needed, including but not limited to end of day balancing, and night drop. E 10% Recognizes referral opportunities and refer members to internal business partners for specialized services including investments, mortgage or commercial lending. N 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1. Provides informed, prompt, and accurate service and support to all members and teammates 2. Carries out assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal errors. 3. Establishes and maintains a working knowledge of the credit union’s products and services with the understanding of their features and benefits. 4. Follows all relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. 5. Fosters a teamwork attitude to ensure all credit union goals and objectives are achieved. 6. Meets or exceeds branch and individual goals as assigned. 7. Regular reliable attendance. 8. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Pen Air Core Values.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience Minimum two (2) years of financial institution experience in member service or cash operations or comparable experience in cash handling, customer service, or sales experience.

Education A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills Ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ability to manage multiple priorities, ability to conduct a needs-based dialogue, ability to use multiple applications on a computer simultaneously, ability to utilize knowledge and resources to effectively problem solve and make sound decisions, willingness to learn and engage in ongoing training and professional development, strong member service focus, strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to transfer money and coins. Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
