Job Description:

Child Development, Inc. (CDI) is actively seeking a new dedicated, empathetic, and mission driven individual to join our growing finance team as a GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT in San Jose, CA!

Our Choices for Children (CFC) program helps low-income families in Santa Clara County gain access to subsidized childcare and other community of support services while they work, look for employment, or improve their education.

Overview of what we are looking for:
An individual with a desire to work in a social services industry, supporting the company by providing general accounting and business support through the detailed accounting of fixed assets, journal entries, and accounts reconciliations.

Some key deliverables:
Accuracy of journal entries posted to the accounting system
Supporting full accounting cycle
Effectively coordinate with other team members in the company
Preparing detailed reviews of general ledger accounts and postings
Preparing the analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Processing complex allocations with relation to expenses across departments and programs

What you bring to the table:
BA/BS degree in Accounting (preferred)
A solid experience of 2-4 years in General Ledger Accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, terminologies, practices and procedures
Excellent Excel skills with strong office based computer knowledge and skills
Adaptability with changing expectations/deadlines, requiring effective planning and organizational skills
