Join our Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Engineering and Technology (E&T) team as a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to support the Satellite Manufacturing Facilities in El Segundo, CA. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations. As a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will develop technical design statements of work, review final designs, and provide rough cost estimates for various projects. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that our buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds meet the highest standards.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:
Design experience in electrical engineering field (industrial, military, and commercial power, lighting, and control systems)
Knowledge of electrical upgrade and project management of power distribution and lighting systems
Proficiency in conducting short circuit, load flow, voltage drop studies, protective device coordination, and arc flash analysis
Technical expertise on system capacities, capabilities, and impact of modifications
Experience in development of backup operational plans for expected and unexpected system outages or failures
Ability to recommend system upgrades and replacements, considering cost factors, design, savings, and efficiencies
Responsibility for the design, operation, and maintenance of on-site generators, UPS systems, Energy Management systems, fire alarm systems, public address systems, and security systems
Position Responsibilities:
Lead project teams in developing technical design statements of work and cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring safety of buildings and equipment
Review electrical design drawings for compliance with customer requirements, company standards, building codes, and regulations
Troubleshoot building electrical issues and address trouble calls with the Maintenance Team
Ensure accuracy of drawing archives by reviewing contractor redlines and documenting construction changes
Forecast, monitor, and report site utilities consumption
Maintain infrastructure systems for reliable and efficient operation of utility systems
Develop and implement conservation projects meeting business case guidelines
Support employee conservation awareness programs
Prepare contingency plans for possible utilities interruptions in coordination with other organizations
Responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of on-site generators
Oversee UPS systems, Energy Management systems, fire alarm systems, public address systems, and security systems
Coordinate conservation programs across the enterprise
Compile and report company utility consumption
Establish enterprise policies, procedures, and guidelines
Facilitate enterprise-wide communications on utility issues
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location options. Domestic travel is required as business demands.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
10+ years of experience with building and safety codes
10+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
10+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
10+ years of experience in an engineering, facilities and/or maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
10+ years of experience with conservation programs, Title 24
10+ years of experience in designing building lighting and power calculations by applying National Electrical code (NEC) to design
10+ years of experience working on facilities medium and high voltage electrical systems
10+ years of experience working on building fire alarm systems, UPS, and lighting controls
5+ years of experience with Revit
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
