About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Alameda, CA, with a focus on optimizing purchasing processes for our construction projects. This is a temp-to-hire position where you will work closely with the Procurement Manager and Engineering Draftsman to manage purchasing orders, price out builds, and secure top-quality manufacturers at competitive prices. The role also involves drafting project plans in AutoCAD and requires effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing orders, source pricing, and select optimal manufacturers for project builds.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all procurement needs are met efficiently.
Use AutoCAD to create and update project design plans accurately.
Provide exceptional customer service by effectively coordinating with field employees and other departments.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel required.
