Aegis Aerospace is seeking a talented CAD Designer/Drafter to support the development of cutting-edge satellite ground systems. In this role you will play a vital part in translating complex engineering concepts into precise and actionable blueprints, contributing to innovative aerospace missions. Collaborate with top engineers, refine designs for manufacturing, and ensure all work adheres to the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Deveolop detailed CAD designs for satellite ground systems, contributing to critical missions that extend humanity's reach into space.
- Work alongside top talent including elite systems engineers, providing vital input to cutting-edge projects.
- Create and refine drawing packages adhering to ANSI standards, supporting research, design, development, testing, and evaluation processes.
- Ensure high accuracy in all designs, influencing audits and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine designs for manufacturability and operational excellence.
- Key responsibilities include generating detailed engineering drawings and blueprints using advanced CAD techniques, revising and maintaining engineering drawings for complex systems.
Required Experience
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Must be able to obtain SCI within 3 months of start and maintain TS/SCI with program read in
- 13+ years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in CAD design/ drafting
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and two or more years of relevant experience. Can substitute 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Direct involvement in systems design or engineering drafting.
- Proficiency in Visio and AutoCAD
- Proven track record in creation, updating, and maintenance of comprehensive drawing packages.
Desired Experience
- TS/SCI with SAP caveat
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or a closely related field.
- Software skills with advanced expertise in Visio and AutoCAD; familiarity with Cameo.
- Industry Standards Knowledge: ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), MIL-STD-31000B familiarity.
- Data Management: Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
- Modeling Expertise: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and refining designs for enhanced manufacturability.
