ITTConnect is seeking an AWS Data Architect to fill a Contract to Hire position with a client in the Atlanta area (First 3-6 months as a contractor, then a W2 full time job). This is a position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the telecommunications space (internet, cable TV, cellular provider).
Job location: Hybrid, 3 days in the office in Sandy Springs, GA and remaining days at home.

Responsibilities:
Design Data Pipelines: Develop and implement scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines to move data from various sources into data storage solutions.
Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that efficiently store and organize data for analysis.
ETL Processes: Build and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using AWS services like AWS Glue and Amazon Redshift.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing jobs and databases.
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements.
Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with regulations.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data architecture, processes, and workflows.
Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest AWS services, data engineering practices, and industry trends.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years in data engineering or data architecture, with hands-on experience in AWS services.
Skills: Proficiency in AWS data services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda; strong SQL and programming skills (Python, Java, or Scala).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree: Masters or PhD in a related field.
