VP of Supply Chain and Production will lead and optimize the supply chain operations and production processes. This senior leader will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, from sourcing materials to ensuring timely delivery to customers, while driving cost efficiencies and maintaining our commitment to quality and sustainability. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with company goals, ensuring seamless operations that meet the demands of a fast-growing e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Management
Develop and execute a robust supply chain strategy that supports growth in e-commerce while aligning with the company's brand and quality standards
Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including inventory management, production scheduling, logistics, and distribution
Production Oversight
Manage end-to-end production processes, ensuring that all apparel meets high-quality standards and adheres to delivery timelines
Partner with manufacturing and vendor partners to optimize lead times, reduce production costs, and ensure sustainability practices
Supplier & Vendor Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and production partners to ensure consistent quality, adherence to timelines, and cost-effectiveness
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to optimize margins and reduce operational costs
Vendor Capacity Planning
Oversee partnerships with key vendors to ensure capacity aligns with projected demand and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions
Conduct regular capacity assessments with vendors, adjusting forecasts based on capacity changes or supply chain developments
Negotiate and establish contingency plans with suppliers to address any potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints
Process Optimization & Efficiency
Identify, implement, and oversee lean practices and operational improvements within supply chain and production to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Use data analytics to monitor forecast accuracy for capacity planning
Establish KPIs and regularly review vendor performance, implementing improvements where needed to optimize supply chain resilience
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across supply chain, logistics, product development and production
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet brand standards and regulatory compliance
Implement sustainable practices across the supply chain in alignment with corporate responsibility initiatives
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Team
Collaborate with planning, marketing, merchandising, finance, and customer service teams to align supply chain operations with business objectives
Support product development by providing insight on supply chain capabilities, lead times, and cost implications
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 10+ years of supply chain, production, and operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the apparel or e-commerce industry
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems; strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the apparel production process, quality standards, and best practices for e-commerce fulfillment
Leadership: Proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
