CHI Aviation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team. The position is heavily focused on billing specialized government contracts and working with multiple entities to ensure timely receivables and cashflow management. A successful candidate is also responsible for assisting with the monthly closing and reporting process for multiple affiliated companies, regulatory compliance, analysis of financial results, the integrity of accounting systems, and special projects. The position is an integral part of the finance team and involved in cross-functional and cross-departmental initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Supports all aspects of accounts receivable including revenue recognition, invoicing, analytics, collections, and cash applications.
Inventory/capital investment tracking and management.
Intercompany transaction management and reconciliations.
Maintain monthly financial workpapers and reconciliations.
Timely completion of financial statements and custom reports for management of multiple entities.
Assists with year-end audit process and responsible for achieving satisfactory auditor reviews.
Cash/Bank management including monthly bank statement review and reconciliation.
Compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Monitors and manages the internal control environment.
Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
A minimum of three to five years accounting experience with general ledger and other functions within a growth company preferred.
Experience working with government agencies preferred.
Proven understanding of general ledger journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, tax reporting, and budgets.
Proactive personality with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
Outstanding communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology; QuickBooks and/or Costpoint experience preferred.
Possess a high level of integrity and trust in all aspects of the role working with confidential data.
Ability to maintain effective time management with experience working in entrepreneurial and growth environments.
Ability to work full time on-site, as this position offers limited opportunity for working remotely.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Defense Department and Aviation experience is an added bonus.
