SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


At Schofield Barracks, HI, SA-TECH is seeking to hire a Site Supervisor responsible for managing operations at a military Material Redistribution and Disposal Site (MDRS), ensuring the efficient processing, accountability, and disposition of rolling and non-rolling stock, equipment, and materials. The role requires a focus on operational compliance, safety, and mission support while supervising personnel, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accountability for all site activities.


As an MDRS Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the Army's supply chain operates efficiently by maintaining accountability, redistributing serviceable materials, and disposing of unserviceable assets. Your leadership ensures the site operates in compliance with Army regulations, contributing directly to operational readiness and mission success.


Primary duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Site Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of material redistribution, disposal, and processing operations.
    • Coordinate the induction, inspection, classification, and disposition of equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with Army standards and regulations.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate redistribution or disposal of excess stock in accordance with mission priorities.
  • Personnel Supervision:
    • Lead and supervise a team of supply technicians, maintenance personnel, inspectors, and administrative staff.
    • Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned duties.
    • Conduct training for staff on safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and operational procedures.
  • Inspection and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all materials and equipment are properly inspected, documented, and processed in compliance with applicable Army Technical Manuals (TMs) and SOPs.
    • Conduct spot checks and audits to confirm accuracy of inspections, classification, and disposal actions.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Work closely with transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials to and from the MDRS.
    • Coordinate with units, supply depots, and higher headquarters to manage redistribution priorities and inventory transfers.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations for all personnel working at the MDRS.
    • Ensure compliance with Army policies for environmental stewardship, especially when handling hazardous materials or equipment disposal.
    • Investigate and resolve any safety or compliance violations.
  • Administrative Oversight:
    • Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including inspections, inventory, redistribution, and disposal actions.
    • Generate reports for higher command detailing site performance, inventory status, and material disposition.
    • Ensure compliance with Army regulations regarding accountability, audit readiness, and documentation.

Work Conditions:

  • Most work will be performed indoors although some time maybe spent outdoors inspecting equipment.
  • Must be able to stand, sit and perform other office-related physical activity.
  • Position requires computer-based activity for extended periods daily.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
  • Overtime may be required at times to support Operations tempo.
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience in Army logistics, supply chain, or maintenance operations is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Army supply systems, Technical Manuals (TMs), and disposal processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in Army logistics systems, such as GCSS-Army (Global Combat Support System).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance and hazardous material handling protocols.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, demanding environment with changing priorities.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
  • Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
