SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
At Schofield Barracks, HI, SA-TECH is seeking to hire a Supply Technician for the Modernization Displacement Repair Site (MDRS) to perform technical supply management tasks under the general supervision of the section lead.
The Supply Technician plays a critical role in supporting MDRS operations, ensuring the proper management, accountability, and storage of assets while adhering to all operational and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in dynamic and occasionally demanding environments.
This position handles inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Assignments are typically stable, standardized, and segregated by commodity area or function and while the work involves individual supply actions or case problems, it may require consideration of program requirements and adaptation to standardized guidelines.
Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
Perform technical supply management tasks such as inventory management, cataloging, and property utilization.
Support stable or standardized segments of technical supply operations while addressing individual supply actions and problems.
Utilize governing supply systems, policies, programs, manuals, and established guidelines to complete assignments.
Analyze program requirements and data, define supply-related problems, and recommend or take action in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of data and adherence to standards.
Access and utilize logistics information systems such as GCSS-A, LIW, AESIT, FMSWEB, and others in compliance with defined procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide surge support to unit holding areas, motor pools, and offices for administrative requirements related to MDRS assets.
Perform warehousing functions, including operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) after obtaining appropriate qualifications.
Support contract-related requirements in areas such as environmental, safety, and security.
Handle hazardous materials and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Adhere to DOD, Army, Navy, and Air Force regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality control standards.
Manage time, manpower, logistics, safety, and physical security requirements as part of daily responsibilities.
Work Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted in an indoor environment, with periodic surges to outdoor environments as needed.
Outdoor work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and inclement weather.
Periodic overtime may be required.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift over 50 lbs., as well as pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations.
Comfortable reading and interpreting Army Technical Manuals (TMs) and Standard Operating Procedures.
Previous related experience inspecting maintenance procedures and programs required.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and timely completion of paperwork.
Must have the ability to independently analyze requirements and understand them to be able to make subjective decisions that impact processes, safety and mission goals.
Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
