Overview


Are you passionate about building strong relationships with high-profile federal clients and leading a dynamic team in implementing clinical client programs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project/Implementation Manager eager to directly contribute to Sedgwick Government Solution’s (SGS) mission by ensuring all implementation projects launch with velocity and positive customer experience.


As a Federal Project/Implementation Manager, you will need to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment and have a track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to motivate and influence teams outside of your direct oversight. Communication skills (written and verbal) to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are consistently updated and held accountable for deliverables, and clearly communicate potential project issues and risks, will be key to success in this role.


The primary purpose of this role is to develop, lead, and engage a disciplined approach to project management including leveraging new technologies or system enhancements, in support of service delivery and revenue objectives for Sedwick Government Solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Implementation Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning, execution, and coordination of complex, multi-service contracts for our largest and most strategic customers. Develop and maintain comprehensive implementation plans that guide the implementation process and guarantee on-time implementation meeting all contract requirements and customer goals.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central point of coordination across clinical, program management, quality, subcontractors, operations, and finance teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of cross-functional initiatives. Drive collaboration and accountability among teams to meet project milestones and deliver successful implementations.
  • Resource & Timeline Management: Identifies required resources, assigns duties/responsibilities to team participants, and oversees the allocation of resources, setting and managing timelines, ensuring that all cross-functional teams stay on track for the successful launch of services. Anticipate roadblocks and proactively mitigate risks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all client-facing solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Alignment: Serve as the internal and external hub for communication during implementation. Regularly interface with key client stakeholders and internal team members at all levels, providing transparent updates on progress, risks, and results. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process to guarantee smooth execution and successful outcomes.
  • Risk Management & Escalation: Develop proactive risk management strategies to identify and resolve potential issues early in the launch process. Act as the escalation point for resolving critical roadblocks, ensuring timely resolutions that minimize impact on delivery timelines and client satisfaction.
  • Provide governance of contract implementation using project management tools and techniques assuring compliance with requirements for licensing, certification, security, and government regulations.
  • Conduct contract review ensuring a thorough understanding of terms and conditions, scope of work, deliverables, and required process to identify potential risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Manage all project timelines, operations, and communications, both internally and with the client. This includes conducting regular status checkpoints, coordinating meetings, documenting meeting follow-ups, providing timely updates, tracking milestones and outstanding tasks, and providing visibility to project risks, dependencies, and potential delays.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Training Departments to ensure the development and delivery of training for all staff following contract requirements.
  • Work in concert with all internal, clinical, and client management team members to share knowledge and ensure a smooth transition to successful program maintenance.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in Health Care or Business Administration related field, Master’s degree in related field preferred
  • At least 10+ years of project management experience, preferably within the healthcare industry and managing large-scale, cross-functional implementations and projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with DMAIC/Six Sigma/Lean or similar methodologies.
  • Previous experience managing medium to large public sector implementations in the capacity of Project Manager or Program Manager preferred.
  • Understanding of development life cycle methodologies
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar work management platforms
  • Experience managing projects with strong governance and documentation requirements in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing timelines, deliverables, and resources across complex initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards, regulations, and practices.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple channels with the ability to adjust messaging to the audience.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to lead by influence.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and successful execution of projects.
  • Proactive problem solver who can anticipate risks early in the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Utilizes direct communication and proactive problem-solving to address internal organizational challenges and differences.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a minimal degree of supervision, to handle a heavy workload, to prioritize work for self and team, and to meet assigned deadlines
  • Strong people, organizational, and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
  • Proficient Computer Software (SW) Skills: Overall Business SW (e.g. MS Office Suite)
  • May perform other duties, as needed, to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to travel 15%

  • Ability to pass a preliminary credit and background check
