CLASSIFICATION: Senior Electronics Engineer (RF and PCB Design)
GRADE: Exempt; Regular, Full-Time
LOCATION: Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF), Eglin AFB, FL – On Site
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides senior level expertise to resolve moderately to very challenging problems in the area of responsibility. Work independently in nearly all cases with rare need to consult with principal level expertise on problems of exceptional difficulty.
GENERAL DUTIES:
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance. Must meet requirements to operate in enhanced security environments.
OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Either a minimum of a MS from an accredited school in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, physics, mathematics or a closely related technical field as appropriate to the position and a minimum of 10 years of senior level experience in specialized or focused areas related to electronics systems design and implementation. Or a BS from an accredited school in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, physics, mathematics or a closely related technical field as appropriate to the position and a minimum of 13 years of senior level experience in specialized or focused areas related to electronics systems design and implementation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials and require very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials.
