Job Description:


Duties: Responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Penn Genetics Business Office (weekly payroll preparation and processing, equipment contracts/repairs, facilities requests, office supply maintenance, service contracts); assist Department of Genetics Faculty with calendar management, travel scheduling, reimbursements, room scheduling, equipment contracts/repairs, facilities requests (i.e phone set-up, moving and maintenance requests), manuscript preparation and office supply maintenance; Enter PO's; Follow up on purchasing requests and enter journal and budget entries using BEN Financials; work closely with financial officer to maintain various databases including reports related to research and core facility administration, i.e., management of program income for grants, tracking of non-encumbered expenses, equipment, space planning etc.; direct, answer and resolve questions of 200+ faculty, students, employees and visitors, liaison between staff, faculty and Financial Officer; Assist with on-boarding of new staff; Provide administrative support to Principal Investigator to include managing calendar, coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements. Schedule conference room; retrieving, sorting and distributing mail.



Qualifications: An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent and 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
