Akkodis is assisting a well-known Medical Device manufacturing company in their hiring efforts for a Production Technician. This is an immediate opening, looking to schedule interviews and make an offer ASAP!
Hours run Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 3pm. Overtime is available at time and a half, but not required.
Job Summary:
As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of electro-mechanical medical devices. You will be responsible for ensuring that our devices meet all specifications and regulatory requirements. This role requires someone with a background in assembly, attention to detail, and experience using measurement equipment to perform precise tests and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble electro-mechanical medical devices according to detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
Test and calibrate devices using various measurement equipment (e.g., Digital Multimeter (DMM), caliper, micrometer, oscilloscope) to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.
Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with devices during the assembly and testing process.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Document assembly and testing processes, including test results, to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and calibrated as required.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
Assist in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and product quality.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience using measurement and testing equipment such as DMMs, calipers, micrometers, and oscilloscopes.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly techniques and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Familiarity with medical device regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485) is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and meet production deadlines.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
