We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our client's rapidly expanding team. In this position you will be tasked with maintaining the hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies.
Requirements:
Quickly and accurately resolve issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis with a solid understanding of computers, servers, network devices and command line diagnostics.
Must possess technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical information with a variety of individuals of varying technical knowledge
Capability to contribute to strong inter and intra-team development
Strong analytical skills, demonstrated problem solving ability, and the ability to operate solo or as part of a team with varying degrees of supervision.
Ability to successfully operate in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations while handling multiple critical priorities simultaneously. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate effective examples of situations where personal initiative and judgment were used to benefit team objectives.
Day to Day
Hardware, network, and server deployment, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, decommissioning, and project documentation.
Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware and software
Perform network installation, including Ethernet and VoIP systems
Conduct equipment repair and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks
Work with Cisco routers and other networking equipment
Conduct fiber splicing and manage fiber optic connections
Provide field service support for data center operations
Adhere to codes and standards for data center safety
Shift Schedule:
Role is onsite 4 days a week (10 hour shifts)
3rd shift which is 9p-7a - 4 will work front half Sunday through Wednesday OR will work back half Wednesday through Saturday
OR 2nd shift which is 1p-11p (still figuring out breakdown of front or back half)
