The Sr. IT Business Analyst will focus on identifying business needs, documenting requirements and specifications related to data, reporting, and applications, communicating with external and internal stakeholders, and managing the process using an agile methodology. This role will also work with functional groups to identify gaps in data and processes, and map/document data elements. The optimal candidate has background in healthcare and strong experience work with data & reporting teams. Duties include:
Work with business users, IT and external clients/vendors to identify and understand business needs related to data acquisition, consumption and delivery
Elicit, analyze and validate these requirements, recognize patterns and conceptualize processes
Perform data analysis to understand data gaps and business needs
Document business and functional requirements and specifications, and provide to all stakeholders
Capture reporting requirements, collaborate closely with developers to implement them, and provide guidance for testing
Assist with setting up/configuring Azure DevOps to document, plan and manage progress
Adapt agile methodology based on current working environment, resources and user needs/constraints, and implement and train users
Become the subject matter expert as it relates to internal data needs from different Practice Management Systems (PMS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Serve as a liaison between different teams and communicate effectively to keep them informed
Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
Assist in tracking progress of deliverables and communicating
Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT users
Qualifications and Requirements:
7+ years working as a Business Analyst for Data/Reporting teams
2+ years delivering and managing in an Agile environment
1+ years working with Healthcare Data
1+ years writing basic queries in SQL Server
1+ years using an Agile tool - preferably Azure DevOps
Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data
Strong ability to analyze data and pay attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Takes initiative and can manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
