Our client is hiring a Portfolio Manager for the Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) Business Transformation and PMO Team to manage and guide a portfolio of strategic projects. This role will leverage expertise to prioritize projects, align projects with organization goals, manage resources and stand-up additional portfolio management functions such as regular portfolio reviews. This is an internal-facing role and there are no direct reports associated with this role.
What you'll do:
Lead a portfolio of projects that include change & adoption, business process improvement, org design, data & value analysis and business operations
Develop and manage portfolio roadmaps and maintain a balanced portfolio
Help coach, upskill and guide Senior Consultants and Business Analysts through the project lifecycle
Serve as a strategic advisor for portfolio management
Lead portfolio reviews and use metrics to evaluate portfolio performance
Communicate to senior leaders portfolio status, risks and opportunities
Collaborate with product, development, operations, and the business to align on priorities and outcomes
Establish frameworks, define opportunities, drive awareness and guide team members to realize these opportunities
Be a change catalyst capable of aligning strategy, people, process, and technology
Perform assessments to develop insights and action plans to achieve best-in-class performance
Understand the big picture and be able to connect all the dots with little guidance

What you'll need:
Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in strategic portfolio management, management consulting, product management, or strategy
Proficiency in portfolio management tools and methodologies
Deep experience in business case development, prioritization, and strategic technology adoption/implementation
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track detailed information.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced degree
Big-4 management consulting experience with Fortune 500 clients
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Industry knowledge of HR, Payroll and Benefits policies and procedures
Technical Skills
Expertise with Project Management tracking software such as Microsoft Project for the Web or Smartsheet
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills - putting together executive friendly presentations cohesively, depending on the project or audience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as creating pivot tables, performing v-lookups when analyzing data and being able to tie that analysis back to a business case or results
