WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are searching for an Intern Security Engineer in our Information Security organization. The Intern Security Engineer will have responsibility for various security operational tasks and projects designed to improve security defenses and operations. This is a full-time position for students pursuing degrees in Cybersecurity for Summer 2025 in our Leawood, KS office.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position will ideally work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS office location. Remote candidate will be considered.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME

• Use best in class security tools and techniques to analyze security events and alerts


• Work closely with Security Engineers and other cross-functional team members to deliver security projects


• Work collaboratively with team members on different teams and in different locations


• Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed to support security tool issues

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or cybersecurity program


• Exposed to cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or OWASP


• Experience in computer networking, cloud computing or windows server infrastructure is required, knowledge of Regex or network protocol analysis is preferred


• Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to participate in collaborative technical projects


• Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to translate a business scenario into a technical solution


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
